I really think it's in the genes also. Uni is 5 and hasn't ever had a dental. I'm not even that good with brushing her teeth. But last month, the last time we went to see the vet, she said her teeth looked great. She only had one extraction, which was the baby canine that never came out. She did have tartar between the two canines and since it's been out, her teeth have been pretty white. Can't say the same about mine.
