Answer: I have been a stanch advocate of spay and neuter for a very long time. I work with rescued dogs, abandoned dogs and strays. I have seen the results of too many unwanted dogs. I also firmly believe dogs are calmer, less territorial, less aggressive, and can avoid some serious diseases and cancers simply by being spayed or neutered. With most Yorkies sexual maturity is between eight months and one year of age. So my answer is, Yes Spay or Neuter your Yorkie.
