We have a couple of Boomerang Tags (
Boomerang Pet Tags: Guaranteed to last. Mailed today, Free Shipping. )...I got Toki a tiny bone one (it's 1 inch long) when she was a pup (it seemed like all of the ones I could find at Petsmart/Petco were so huge at the time) and also a tag that you hook onto the collar that lays flat and doesn't make any noise (this one is probably 1 1/2 inches long)!

I will never have anything but Fetching Tags anymore. Jackson has a few and they will literally last the lifetime of the dog... they are SO visible, from far away, and engraved very deep. Very great quality, thick looking but extremely lightweight (they are aluminum).
Pricey, but again, they will last forever. And they have specials and coupons all the time on their Facebook.
