Well, kittens don't take as much time as puppies. All they need is a warm place to curl up next to eachother, some food/water, and a litter box. At the age where they are able to move around and attract the attention of humans, they are old enough to be on soft food/water. It wouldn't require much more than that until they found a home/other foster parent.
