Well we don't have a huge rat problem so we don't have any poison out. I'm sure they're ok. The only thing I could think about was keeping them away in case it had a disease and trying to get a shovel and bag at the same time. And Charlie was running from me because he wanted to play with it and knew I didn't want him too. He finally let me get him and put him inside so I had time to get what I needed to clean it up.
