If not the Sherriff I would find out if you have a "community police officer" you might want to talk to them, or local police....go to the station and see if they would be willing to. Also, do you have a lawyer? Have your lawyer call them and ask for a resolution so that courts aren't necessary. You have nothing more to lose at this point, IMHO.

I am so sorry this happened to you, very very sad and to add the frustration from the breeder on top of it...uggghhhhh not good; however, if it is a good breeder he may be doing the right thing in keeping the pup till its ready to go, who is your breeder? Remember, a good breeder will not let their pups go before 12 weeks.

Good luck and I hope you let us know how this works out...again, I'm sorry for your loss.

How was it resolved with your friend? They got their puppy?
There is a sheriff station down the street, I just wasn't sure what route to take. I think I'm going to give him this last week to deliver the puppy and if not I'm going to file a report.

I had found him on puppyfind.com, his name is Oscar. We trust him just because we had got another yorkie from him before, so we're hoping that he wouldn't treat us badly...

Thank you for your advice and thoughts, it is appreciated!!
