I have seen a cut where they cut a "visor" (a narrow strip of hair) just behind the eyes and leave the rest of the top knot long. Maybe this is what the groomer did. The "visor" supposedly helps 'hold back' the longer hair behind it when the longer top knot hair is not banded. Brody's hair had been cut in a sort of "visor" cut, but his hair is very fine and silky and without enough 'body' to do that so the "visor" just flopped down over his eyes, too. lol I have talked to others who do cut the "visor" AND have a long top knot too and it works for them. With Brody, I saw what was happening and grew out the whole top knot, but had no difficulty getting Brody's groomer to understand what I wanted. For sure, it will grow back and you can choose another style if you want.
