Hi Welcom to YT. I'm just seeing your post. I'm a Jersey girl. Live down the shore. Please don't even consider meeting someone outside of their home to see their pups. A good breeder will let you see the mom and dad and where they are living. Since you have small children, I would reccomend a bigger Yorkie. Size is hard to tell when they are pups. I know others have said it, but I will reiterate rescue. You can try Pet adoption: Want a dog or cat? Adopt a pet on Petfinder. Look even for a Yorkie Mix, the so called designer dogs. Yorkie Poo is great. I would personally got for one 12 pounds or bigger. They are great for kids to play with. Standard Yorkies 5-7 pounds are tiny for kids and can easily get hurt. Good Luck. Elaine
