I just got Mandie last Tuesday from a couple who were disappointed in her size. They told me, "we thought she was a regular yorkie and she is a teacup." (btw, I know there is technically no such thing)

My question is this...at 4 months old, they said she was 3 lbs. I took her to my vet yesterday (she is now 1 week shy of 5 months old) and she is 3 lbs and 10 oz. From some threads that I have read on here, that seems pretty much "on par" for a healthy, standard sized yorkie.

Am I right? I love her whether she is small or standard, but I'm curious what you all think. At 19 weeks..is 3lbs, 10 oz about right?

(sorry to piggy back on the OP's thread)
I guess it depends on what you think a "tea cup" should be at full growth. It sounds to me like your pup will be within normal range for a normal Yorkie or a bit bigger. If you are counting on a 4 pounder then you are going to be disappointed. People who promise a tiny dog are dishonest from the get go.
