Personally I like earth tones...my whole house is different shades of taupe..from light to true taupe, which looks almost a cafe au lait colour.
Bathrooms are pale green in the main bathroom, lilac in the powder room and my en suite is a very pale yellow...I need something cheery at 3am!
Base board trim is ivory as is my california blinds in the family room.
All maple coloured hardwood flooring downstairs. The furniture is all large comfy big cushions! I like a 'homey' feel. That just me.
Take your time and figure out what Lynzy likes, you'll have a ball re-decorating! I had a great time doing mine once ex moved out...kind of like a cleansing...He left...I bought him out and kept the house! I literally cleaned house!
