I just got Mandie last Tuesday from a couple who were disappointed in her size. They told me, "we thought she was a regular yorkie and she is a teacup." (btw, I know there is technically no such thing)

My question is this...at 4 months old, they said she was 3 lbs. I took her to my vet yesterday (she is now 1 week shy of 5 months old) and she is 3 lbs and 10 oz. From some threads that I have read on here, that seems pretty much "on par" for a healthy, standard sized yorkie.

Am I right? I love her whether she is small or standard, but I'm curious what you all think. At 19 weeks..is 3lbs, 10 oz about right?

(sorry to piggy back on the OP's thread)
Sounds about right to me...my breeder says to double the weight at 12wks, that should give you an approximation on how much Mandie will weigh when full grown. She is charting to be around 6-7lbs, well within the standard. Silly people! LOL!
