I do the same. Read, reasearch, take what I need. There's good advice here, I've found a ton! And good people who love their dogs, heck, all dogs.
Back in the day, Purina was the go to food. Everyone used it! If your baby started on it, that's ok. I would if my vet said to. Mine is being a spoiled brat and won't eat anything atm. (at the moment), except ants!(and what I hand feed her).
Just remember, everyone has an opinion...that's all it is, opinion.There is no "bestest in the whole wide world" dog food. If there was, we wouldn't be discussing which food to use with our furbabies!
With so many dog foods on the market now days that it's overwhelming! Find one your baby likes, and its good for them and go with it
