I received this alert today also.

I have mentioned before that one of my kids knew a guy that worked in a pet food factory. This company produced "high grade" foods that are actually sold in Europe. This guy said there were rules about cleaning machines after each batch of food was complete. Apparently many of the workers ignored these rules that were in place to prevent contamination of mold and other dangerous organisms that could be harmful to pets. Later, they would find out (perhaps after some poor animals had become ill) and they would fire some workers and go about the same routine. I would say this accounts for many of the contaminations that take place in these pet food factories. There are many places along the production line that can hold various kinds of harmful organisms I hate to think of it.
