Yes references can be fake, but hopefully when you ask for something like that they will not want to put the time in to give you 20 references or however many.. I checked on and talked to quite a few breeders before I finally found one I trusted and bought from.. I liked her so much 2 yrs later I bought another fur baby from her.. Good luck in your search!
