YES, definitely get stairs! I have 3 doggie stairs throughout my house.

It's very odd that the vet said he can't give meds "due to size" - that doesn't sound right one bit. What is her size? Vets give meds to newborn puppies, if needed, so this isn't making sense to me unless he is talking about one very specific med that's contraindicated in a certain size. That said, almost any med can be compounded...so size is usually a moot point. If she is in pain, I'd go to another vet asap to get it managed.

I agree!!! Small dog, Small dose!!! Pain management is crucial for everyone, especially the baby....and the newest therapy is alternating ice, then heat, then ice, then heat....
