I have a nine month old pup and she jumped off the couch the other day. She shrieked in agony when she hit the floor and I tried to check her hind leg. The emergency room vet said her kneecap was out of place and popped it into place. My baby was walking on the leg immediately and it popped out of place 2 minutes later. The vet put it back....a second time and said no activities for at least a week.

It's a little swollen and she's being treated with an anti-inflammatory called Metacam for 5 days. Vet says she's too young for surgery on the knee but I'm so worried. My baby is so uncomfortable!

Has anyone else had this experience and could tell me what to expect or what to do? I haven't slept in two days and I'm falling apart!!!

i am sorry your little one is in pain.
unfortunately that is a common occurrence in yorkies.
just follow your vets advice and continue with the meds.
also very important keep her from jumping off furniture and keep her quiet . hopefully she will feel better soon...
