I, too, am sorry that your MIL is having such issues. You will all be in our thoughts. I know things will be difficult from here on, but do give some thought to what Lynzy said...a Yorkie may actually be a good thing for both of you if MIL doesn't react. They are amazing companions, very intuitive, very attentive, and I know of several instances where they have alerted other humans to physical problems...such as breathing issues...of other humans including visiting relatives. If MIL can tolerate a Yorkie and you decide to get that baby, it may well bring both of you lots of joy and even help you through whatever sadness comes your way next. {{{Hugs}}}
