Dee, if you must wait 6 weeks then just make sure you are very careful with his diet and lactulose. He should do fine. Make sure you are giving him 4-6 small meals a day so that you do not give his liver too much at one time. Also, the lactulose will help him get rid of the toxins. Do not give him anything else to eat, other than what the vet has told you. He should be much better than he has been doing!
