When we first got Jaxson we got him the "puppy cut" but now we like him to have a shorter hair style plus the groomer calls it the "teddy bear face/cut". He's adorable & enjoys playing outside a lot more these days. Just make sure you tell them to not cut it too short I have nothing against chihuahuas but the first time we went to get him the shorter cut not the puppy after he gained more weight she cut off so much of his hair, pretty much buzzed him & he looked like a black/tan chihuahua. I didn't like how he felt when I picked him up or hold cold he got at night. I went and even bought him a few little shirts/sweaters to sleep in & walk around the house. So make sure you tell them to not buzz the hair/face area too short! I took him to Petco & the lady even knicked his eye with what I assume were a pair of clippers or something. I called back & filed a BBB complaint but haven't heard back from the manager yet. The vet checked his eye and said he was perfectly fine but with the way she cut his hair and then hurt his eye without even telling me when I picked him up really ticked me off so I decided to obviously never go back there again.
