This happened to me a few months ago. I was brushing Taycie's teeth and noticed a loose tooth so I took her in and then scheduled a dental.
Make sure to do pre- surgical bloodwork and you should be just fine. I know how stressful it can be but it will all work out. Also best thing to do after is to reguarly brush the teeth.
