So Happy , I just have to Pee
This is a very common behavior. Most dogs out grow this. We use no eye contact, no touch, no pet, Until they sit. We also have a no dog area at the door. Most outside doors are 36 inches wide, so our dogs are taught to stay back 3 feet. This is the no dog area. We cue them with Back, Sit . All my family and friends know the rules.

Strangers are different story. I keep a spray bottle of water on a table by the door. I cue my pack with, Enough (Which means stop what they are doing like barking) Back, if a doggie comes into the no dog area. Sit and Stay. Then I answer the door. Hint I always lock the screen door when I am home. I don't want anyone to go pass that boundary uninvited. I rarely have to squirt anyone with the water. They know Back means back. Hope this helps.
