I had Copper neutered at 5 months. I wanted to do it before he learned marking and lifting. He is now 2.8 years old and he does lift his leg when we go for a walk. He has never marked in the house. He currently weighs 4 lbs. so he was a little guy when I had him neutered. It has worked out well for us and Copper is sweet and loving. I say, go for it if you do not plan to use him as a stud.
