She came on here to ask for advice; the thread started to head south when someone suggested that amputation was a valid alternative, which in my opinion is absurd, and Ladyjane offered to help this single mom save this poor baby's leg and someone complains about that...unbelievable. I would think that this would be the example that all us, especially the owners and moderators of YorkieTalk, would like to set. Is this not what this board was founded on??? Help and advice for these little babies??? Are you really going to let the personalities and personal vendettas of a few stand in the way of some seeing the good will of others? I witness the most awful conversations going back and forth all the time in these threads, and nothing is said - now someone does something extraordinary and wonderful and someone complains??? You all need to reevaluate the policies here if this is what our response to help is going to be. Ladyjane should be commended for her actions, not told to do this privately. I don't think her actions were anything but good and I wish there were more like her on this board. I wish that I, myself, had given as unselfishly as she had. I don't think Ladyjane offered help for public accolades, she offered help because she truly cares about these little ones. This is just wrong. |
This has been in the YT Rules and Regulations - for YEARS. I don't recall anyone saying or implying that Alisha is asking for help - that was never mentioned. There are ALWAYS complaints whenever a thread involves money - many of them from rescue people themselves, btw, so this should prove it has nothing whatsoever to do who or what is offering money.
Again, this has been the rule for years, and will continue to be the rule. This is Admin's board and Admin's rules - and these rules have been well thought out for very good reasons. YT is not and will not be a place where we offer public monetary support.
