Roxy was about 2 yo or so before she really started getting upset about thunder & other loud noises. Got her a Thundershirt several months ago, which has helped a LOT! Now when she senses a storm coming, she'll come get me and go sit where we keep her thundershirt and waits for me to put it on her. She's fine after that.

I've always remained calm during storms (no problem cuz I'm a storm watcher) and think that helps a lot. During fireworks season we can often see them through the trees here. I go out with her and we watch them together... oooo & ahhhh about them. When the storms started bothering her I was surprised, but it seems like any loud noises make her uncomfortable. When we watch people put their boats in the lake, she will get down & sit on the floor of the car. Very unusual for her.

When you think yours has stopped growing, you might want to invest in a Thundershirt. Good luck!
