Since Alfie is only 7 weeks old feeding wet food is fine. You can gradually change him over to dry food when he is older. He is really too young to change his food right now. There is nothing in dry food that helps to keep the teeth clean. Some of the dry foods actually contribute to tooth decay because of the glucose levels in them. The best thing to come out in the past few years are the enzymatic cleaners for pet's teeth. They even have chewy things with enzymes on them that will help get rid of the tarter that forms on the teeth. They have sprays and gels also that you can brush your dog's teeth with also.

Since he is only 7 weeks old I wouldn't worry about it right now. He needs to just eat and grow. In time he will start being able to control his peeing and will get a new set of teeth.
