The other vet and I had a loooong discussion over the phone about vaccines and he has the same protocol. He did finally, after an hour or so and quoting several studies on new vaccine protocol and titers, agree to see them but he said he would not be held responsible if they picked something up in his clinic. Also, he went as far as to say 'Now, if you want to take the chance with the lives of your dogs and only go on titers, well, that's your business but...if your precious pets mean anything to you at all you will get their yearly vaccines so they are protected.'
No, they don't suggest around here...they demand and require...that's why I end up driving so far to see decent vets for different things. |
I should ad that there is one vet about 18 miles from here who I have talked to but not seen yet so I may try that clinic at some point...and I am in the process of checking out a holistic vet/nutritionist but she is probably about 90 miles from here...the other vet I will go to is 85 miles from me though.
I will make an appointment with the vet this week though and talk with them about this test to see what it's all about and make sure I understood everything.
