well, i think you would kind of go by your dog.
i dont think it will hurt to give a little extra.
the dosage i found says 1 tsp per 20 pounds once per day
for a 10 lb dog that would be 1/2 tsp once per day.
i am feeding oscar who is 7 1/2 lbs 1/4 tsp once per day till he gets used to it then i will increast to a 1/2 tsp and see how he does with that.
probably there is not dosage amount set in stone.
i would just start with the smallest amount and see how your dog does with that
