I think some of these babies just cannot maintain their body temperature very well. Gracie is like that. I never put her down until she is totally combed out and dry, even in the summer.
We are now enjoying temperatures in the mid 70's and I have had to put her winter pajamas on her and she was all wrapped up in her fleece blanket until the temperature got up to 75 this morning!
In the winter I have to turn the thermostat up to at least 78 before I bathe her. I purchased a Rinse Ace from PetCo in order to get her washed, rinsed and out of the sink as fast as possible. I couldn't stand to see her shivering in the sink. She has a nice long coat but it does not seem to be enough to keep her warm unless we are having tropical weather. |
