 Grooming breakthrough..
I'm sure you've heard enough about my grooming stories... But we had a huge breakthrough over here!! When I groom him now, it's a positive experience for both of us. After his bath and he's dried, I put a towel on the floor (I found this works better than on a table with him) put him on it, sit on the floor with him, then turn on the clippers and let him examine them for a minute then it's smooth sailing from there. This last time he even rolled on his back so I could do his belly!! I was in shock! LOL He's still a teeny weeny bit hesitant with the legs, but nothing like before. He even waited for the ok to run off after I was done. I literally had to say.. "Go! You're done!" And throw a toy to let him know he could get up and go because he was looking at me like.. "Are you sure?? Is it ok??" |
