Maybe a trip to an experienced groomer is best for the first few times.

Hold the ear between your thumb and index finger of one hand...the ear laying flat against the index finger...run the little clippers (which are my very favorite ones for butts and ears and foot pads)flat against the ear, as it lays flat on your index finger for support, up the ear and off the edge of the ear, using your finger to support the ear....run the clippers over the ear and off the edge...do it on both outside the ear as well as inside the ear....NEVER run the clipper perpendicular UP/DOWN the edges of the ear...you will get the edge of the ear caught in the little blades of the clipper and cut the edge of the ear...same thing with SCISSORS!!! Unless you are an expert groomer, dont go near the ears with sicssors...if that baby jumps or wiggles or moves, you are going to cut her ear!!!!
