We bought a new iPad and decided on the one you can get a plan. If we decided not to purchase the plan for a while we can use the wifi, or we can purchase a plan. Its a great idea if you are not sure if you will only use wifi. Plus you can use it as a hotspot for your laptop to get wifi off of.
