Harley is 2 and he still does this with kibble. Adding a boiled egg to the kibble use to help in the mornings. Now he eats Primal Frozen Raw Formula, and he gobbles it up as soon as I put it in his bowl and mash it up a little bit. Trying a different kibble may help as well. Grain free is always great if it is available. I used a website, dogfoodadvisor.com, to check out all the brands. I think all the five star dog foods are grain free. They have a section for raw, too.
