I had this problem with Kipper. Some of the other members suggested leaving the food out for 15 minutes and putting it up, making him realize the food needed to be eaten while it was available. It didn't work. He would eat if we were eating at the same time and he thought he was somehow getting what we had. The best thing was having our other dog, Buddy, eat the same food with him. I figured that it wouldn't hurt 8 year old Buddy to eat puppy food for awhile to get Kipper to eat. It worked like a charm. On the days that I must leave for work and no one is here, Kipper will not eat even if I leave out the food. He would only eat after he had calmed down from being "abandoned" for the hours I was gone. Such silly little critters! I wish you the best in figuring out what you can do to get your puppy to eat before you leave for work.
