A couple of days ago my friend (who has a male yorkie) and I went to the dog park. Brandi and Scooter were getting along so well. We had a great day.
Scooter is really spoiled and will only let his mom hold him and pet him. Scooter reminds me of a typical mischievous 5 yr old little boy. He is always into something....very energetic and just as adorable as can be. For those of you who have 5 yr old sons, you know what I'm talking about.
Throughout the day, Scooter was gradually warming up to me. He was starting to trust me and was letting me pet him. AtI this point I was sure he was going to finally let me pick him up. I mean I had been playing with him and he was letting pet him right? Wrong! I went to pick him up and he let out this blood curling yell. I thought I had hurt him. When I put him back down, he wen running to his mommy. His mommy checked him over and explained when Scooter doesn't want to be picked up, he yelps. Nothing is physicaly wrong with him....just a yorkie quirk. (Don't all yorkies have their little quirks?)
When she put him back down, he stood behind her

(it was so cute because he was so serious) and proceeded to give me a good cussing out. He was barking non stop and even when I attempted to walk away (because we were both laughing so hard) he even followed me still "cussing me out"

,
It was so funny because you knew by his expressions what he was trying to say. If he could talk he would of been saying things like " Did I say you could pick me up?" or "I said you could pet me.....no one said anything about picking me up" or 'who gave you permission to pick me up?". After he finished giving me a good thrashing, his momma give him a treat and he went back to playing.
