Hi guys,
new to the forum here. My fiancee and I took ownership of wee Alfie on Sunday. Having a fantastic time with him so far.

He is due to get his first jab on Friday, so can't wait to finally take him out in a few weeks. We currently have him sleeping in a crate (which has his bed at the back and a pee pad at the front) while also having pee pads about the house. As he's only seven weeks, he's been pretty good about not going on his bed, but it's still a bit of a task to get him to go on a pad. If we catch him having an acident on the floor, we do try and lift him straight away and put him on a pad, but by that time the deed has been done!
Does anyone have any advice as to how to tackle this? Also when is a good time to up how much food he gets? At the moment he gets a quarter of a tin a day (which is then divided up into four different meals) and he is currently scoffing it down. Reluctant to over feed him!
