im not sure how confused they are if it is part of their routine. cedric will do both and has since he was a baby...trained on pee pads but if we are outside he will go there if he needs to as well. and i would say for sure you dont want him to sleep in his crate and then spend the hours you are at work in there as well. i think if it is a consistent routine he will get it down..
