if it says it;s ok then try with caution but if it specifically does not stat tear free i would avoid direct eye contact. i have never used that product. i use warm water only if they are really messy then i just use a lil splash in shine shamphoo water down on the face cloth and avoid their eyes. i clean their eyes daily but warm water takes the eye boogies right off for me. i then brush them and spray them with the detangler from splash and shine which smells great.
