Don't know if this is the case with Sammy... but possible hereditary connective tissue disorder similar to Ehlers-Danlos syndrome in humans... can affect skin and/or internal organs (skin tends toward hyperelasticity... my family member has had multiple hernias, mesh does not work, stitches don't hold for long, (won't stay in place due to the hyperelasticity issue internally). She has Ehlers-Danlos with Marfans... I confuse symptoms of the two but I believe the connective tissue part is of EDS. Marfans is the doublejointed (lay term), hyperextension of joints.
