I just got back from Texas A&M. Sammy started having problems voiding this afternoon, so I took him to my vet and she found that his bladder had slipped back into that hernia again.
He just had surgery for this in June.
Anyway...they admitted him as an emergency and the soft tissue surgeon will be calling me in the morning with details about what they will be doing.....they did tell me that he will be having surgery tomorrow. The vet in emergency mentioned a couple of things but said that the main surgeon would be consulting with others tomorrow and they will develop a plan.
I am just sick over this. While Sammy does weather the storm pretty well it is just so sad that he must once again have surgery.
Most of you know his history...for those interested, Sammy is one of my fosters who has been through so much this past year that I have had him. He has multiple neurological issues, but is quite the stoic little guy.
