I was at my wits end trying to figure out why my Grace was having these skin sores. I read everything that people posted that could be related. I was thinking about the dog food etc that came from China that was harmful to dogs and I found a article about a plant prevalent in Asia that was now being used as a bio-fuel and a derivative was a glycerin which then was used in human products but also dog products. That was when I removed anything that had glycerin in it from my dogs diet. I was curious and wanted to let other dog owners know what I had found out but I just google if glycerin was harmful to dogs and poof there was so much more out there to warn us about how this product is like giving our pets antifreeze to taste, well we certainly know how harmful antifreeze is. Its been about a week since we have removed the glycerin and being bath day we watched her skin absorb the water and watched to see if the sores were there or if they have disappeared entirely, we would be safe to believe that they are gone, a faint trace of irritation that has been on the mend. She seems happier to us, because she had spent so much time looking for a place to rub herself, sofas, bed skirts, her bed pillow even began to rub the drapes. She does dig under her pillow but pops up with a smile on her face ( you know Yorkies can smile) and runs off to see what else is going on since she was not watching.

I will keep things posted but I am not sure how to use this site
