I respectfully would state that each owner should make their own decision based upon what they are comfortable with. Unless a boarded vet nutritionist with years of experience feeding PMR attempted to convince me otherwise, I would be a very difficult client to advise.
Well good thing you don't have a liver compromised dog then. Walk a mile my friend and you'd be surprised at what you'd do.
