I cut Tatiana's hair, and I have a BASIC idea of dog grooming.

To get the bangs the way you like it, I think you would part Jackson's bangs down the middle. With the left half of the bangs, take a VERTICAL section to the left with your fingers as a guide, and trim off the desired length ALONG your fingers. Do the same on the right half of the bangs, taking a VERTICAL section to the right. It's important to take vertical sections (and cut along your fingers) so that the bangs would layer nicely (top part short, gradually getting long towards the bottom).

Also, I cut my own hair, so I have experience from that.
