Yes we have owls close by. We have two small lakes and several public parks all within walking distance of my home. Honestly I have never thought about owl pellets. The definition I found said, owls kill small mammals and eat the bones, fur and feathers. Some parts of the bird or mammal are not digested. Owls then regurgitate a hard little capsule shaped object of bone, teeth, fur etc. It is sometimes called an owl pellet. These owl pellets can be found where owls, live, hunt and nest.
