I went ahead and went through with it, the vet made me feel reassured that he would be ok but still obviously a risk. But he showed me how bad of an infection he had in his mouth I could not bear to leave Howie like that any longer. He deserves to have a healthy mouth, I just hope everything goes ok since he is such a little guy
