I wanted a new machine but didn't have a lot of money to spend. I went on Amazon.com and bought:
SINGER Factory Serviced 7256 Fashion Mate Computerized Sewing Machine
It is reconditioned but has the same guarantee as new. Amazon is EXCELLENT for returns if you have a problem. Buying new was $149 but I got the factory serviced one for $119.
If you Google it, you will find this machine VERY highly rated. So far, I think it is a great machine!!
