howie is a little guy. i guess anesthesia is a danger for all dogs and more so for the tiny ones.
vets use a special anesthesia for tiny dogs like yours and it is a lot safer. only you can make the decision whether to have the procedure done or not.
bad teeth can cause many other problems.
i wish i had some more useful advice for you.
talk to your vet and ask what kind of anesthesia they use for tiny dogs and what kind of precautions they take to monitor him during the surgery..
also it would be a good idea to have a full blood panel done before the surgery to make sure everything is ok with howie
