I use those terms here but in talking to people, I always say "my Yorkie", referring to my dogs. I love the word, the connotation, even just the sound of the word "Yorkie" so I use it every single chance I get in the real world. If I could without it being too confusing, I have and will again consider naming one of my Yorkies "Yorkie"! Such a cute word - I love it.
