Boy oh boy if anyone has the answer to this, I'd love to know it
I have given up on having any rugs, including the ones by the doors for wiping feet. I depend on all outdoor welcome mats now and find that I have to clean the floors more often now. My girls are 6 years old and still confuse my rugs for potty pads
Once in a while I try again, but they still pee and poo on them. I have even tried washing the pee pads in unscented detergent and using scented on the rugs, and that seemed to work for a minute, but I think the scent wears off and they then think it's a potty place again
