It seems as though Hot Rod's body and leg hair takes a long time to grow out while his face and tail grow out quickly. He has thin, soft hair. I guess this is a silky coat?? Just when his coat was actually feeling a bit fluffy and full, it was time to shave him down for the summer.
It took since last year to grow it out.
Maggie on the other hand has a beautiful fluff coat that grows out much quicker. I would love to have her grow long but it just gets so hot here in MD and I just think it's so much cooler for them. Also I think that it's easier to spot any ticks on them being shaved down.
