I have never wrapped or used bands on my girls. Rosie has the long hair. Beard and all.
I just use good grooming products and let it grow. I brush them both often. Don't know if that helps or not but figure it can't hurt.
Mikki grows on her body but her face area doesn't seem to grow out much. Here are some pictures. Rosie is in the first two and the last is Mikki.
